Job title: EXPIRED - Principle Solution Consultant/Senior Pre-Sales Software Consultant Salary: £80k dependent on experience

Our client is looking for someone to join their company, working alongside their strong sales/presales team with the flexibility to travel extensively.

The Principal Solution Consultant provides technical and IT process-related consultancy to accounts that require technical and product knowledge that exceed the general level of the software consultant team.

Required:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • ITIL® Managers Certificate or 4 years SM Consultancy experience
  • 10+ years experience in solutions development in customer facing organisations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Service Desk software such as Remedy, Peregrine, HP, CA, Unicenter etc

Primary responsibilities for role:

  • Develop a significant balance of breadth and depth across the company’s architecture, with at least one area of expertise.
  • Possess expert knowledge of service management process and methodologies, experienced in implementing processes at customer sites. 
  • Provide service management support to customers, sales, technical, R & D, and marketing
  • Analyze product capabilities and limitations in these areas of expertise vis-à-vis competition.
  • Develop mechanisms for the transfer of knowledge of these areas of expertise. Eg. writing reference documents, developing and delivering training, answering questions generated by the software consultants or customers, or assistance at customer sites where the product is being used or evaluated.
  • Assist with sales cycles requiring their expertise.  Eg. presentations, architecture discussions, developing conceptual and logical architectures.
  • Ability to influence the product line’s technical direction from a corporate standpoint.
  • Responsible for increasing the utilization and sales of the company’s software across multiple accounts.
  • Acts as a corporate technical resource across multiple company accounts providing guidance to Customers, Sales, Software Consulting, and Professional Services.
  • Conduct assessments gap analysis of client environment and design appropriate company solutions to enhance client IT operations
