Job title: ITSM Solution Consultant Salary: £60-75,000

Our client are looking for two ITSM Solution Consultants to join their team.  The main purpose of the Role is:

  • Work with their clients and bid teams to develop service management solutions based around the BMC ITSM application and other standard tools
  • Identify opportunities, propose and win additional business in the IT service management area during client engagements
  • Be a recognised expert on ITSM deployment and service management processes, providing mentoring to less experienced staff in the team
  • Challenging requirements that are outside the capabilities of the standard toolset and/or not recognised best practice and offering acceptable alternatives

Key Areas of Responsibility:   

  • Build industry leading, deliverable and profitable solutions that are closely aligned with the client's objectives and culture, supported by clear sales messages, centred on the ITSM module set
  • Provide inputs into the commercial team to develop the pricing for proposals
  • Support the our client's sales team in the pre-qualification process (e.g. Assistance with responding to RFIs, Global Delivery/Applications Management vs Shared Services etc)
  • Evaluate customer requirements and translate them into operational services, maximizing the standard features offered by the ITSM tool
  • Support the cost/benefit evaluation of customization to the ITSM tool

Person Specification:

Essential Skills:

  • At least two years full time exposure to the ITSM application, including incident, problem, change, asset and SLM.
  • Understanding of the capabilities of the standard ITSM application and how it can be configured to support a variety of service management processes
  • At least 10 years experience of delivering service management solutions and/or a strong background in delivery IT services at a senior management position
  • A demonstrable track record of delivering on time and to client satisfaction
  • Excellent client relationship skills, able to work credibly up to board level,
  • Excellent communication skills: written and presentation
  • Well organised, self motivated and multi tasking
  • ITIL Certification to Expert level
  • Able to work alone or in a team with a variety of cultures

 Desirable but not essential:

  • Additional professional qualifications (MBA)
  • French language skills
  • RAC Certification from BMC

The candidate will be expected to be flexible about travel, work away from home at short notice.
