Job title: EXPIRED - Change & Project Support Manager Salary: £45-50k

Our client is looking for a Change & Project Support Manager to become the champion for Change, Release, Configuration and Project Management processes and to promote their use and continuous improvement within the organisation. To ensure controlled delivery of change to the IT architecture, its seamless integration with the other ITIL® Service Management processes, the project management framework, the business development pipeline and the provision of management data. To own the Project Management Framework (PMF) and its on-going evolution, drive adherence to best practice process & controls, to provide consistent, repeatable processes and capability uplift.

This role has two direct reports and overall management of the Change Management Function.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in systems analysis and design, business requirements definition, data and process modelling, change management system workflow definition and implementation.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with a diverse range of specialization, with a track record in IT service delivery
  • Demonstrates the ability to motivate and influence teams and individuals who with whom there is no direct or indirect management responsibility
  • Demonstrates effective communication, both orally and in writing, with virtual team members, colleagues, suppliers and business users at all levels, both formally and informally
  • Responsible for weekly status reporting and production of management information
  • Responsible for clear communication of plan and change calendar internally to IT and the business change management team
  • Use experience to make informed decisions on all relevant IT changes and all releases to the IT architecture, selection and execution of process improvement opportunities across a wide field, either in a management or advisory capacity.
  • Use experience and strong interpersonal skills to facilitate senior managers in formulating and agreeing IT change calendar; defining, prioritising and assessing the impact for specific project activity.

Other Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven success in Change Implementation.
  • Should hold ITIL® Practitioners Certificates for Change & Release Management.
  • Should demonstrate knowledge and successful application of the principles, methods, techniques and tools of the effective management of changes from initiation through to implementation.
  • Experience delivering changes to IT architectures - preferably to a manufacturing and distribution business, which involve multiple activities and streams of people from both IT and the business.

Previous Experience

  • Strong analyst background with an emphasis on identifying trends and developing reports.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills. Specifically trend and impact analysis.
  • Has achieved proficiency at controlling and delivering change to the IT architecture. Ideally including the production of test plans, project plans and disaster recovery plans.
  • Has gained experience of achieving results through effective influencing and negotiating and through the planning, control and implementation of complex or large changes. Including working with the business to determine impact and schedule.
